BBQ Sardine Rice Cakes

Ingredients

  • 6 Rice Cakes
  • 1 Tin Safe Catch Sardines
  • 1 Tbsp. Mayo
  • 3-4 Tbsp. BBQ Sauce (Any will do!)
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • Shredded or Thinly-Chopped Lettuce
  • Fresh Chopped Cilantro
  • Fresh Chopped Green Onions or Chives
  • Optional for a pop of color: Watermelon Radish Triangles

Tools you'll need

  • Mixing Dish
  • Fork
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Plate
  • Spoon

Instructions

  1. Add your Safe Catch Sardine tin contents to a small mixing dish and break apart your sardines with a fork. You can drain the water from the tin, if you prefer.
  2. Add in your Mayo, BBQ sauce, salt and pepper and combine evenly.
  3. Lay out your Rice Cakes on your plate and top with lettuce.
  4. Evenly distribute spoonfuls of your BBQ Sardine salad on top of each Rice Cake.
  5. Finish with cilantro, green onions + any other garnishes you wish!

SERVING SUGGESTION

Makes a good lunch/ but also a unique party snack/appetizer!
