Cajun Tuna Melt Cauliflower Steaks

Ingredients

  • 2 Large Cauliflower Steaks – cut from a large, whole cauliflower head.
  • 1 Tbsp Avocado or Olive Oil
    2 packets of Safe Catch Cajun Elite Wild Tuna.
  • 1 ½ Tbsp Mayonnaise.
  • 1 Tbsp Dried Minced Onion.
  • Salt and Pepper to taste.
  • 1/2 Cup Shredded or Fresh Grated Cheese of Choice (We love Mozzarella!).
  • Fresh Snipped Chives.

  • Parchment Paper
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Cooking Oil Brush
  • Spatula

Instructions

  • Begin by preheating your oven to 425.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut two large cauliflower steaks out of your cauliflower head. Use knife to trim off leaves and any pieces necessary.
  • Place your cauliflower steaks on a parchment-paper lined baking sheet and brush lightly with oil.
  • Bake cauliflower steaks in oven for 15-20 minutes or until fork tender.
  • Add the contents of both packets of Cajun tuna to a mixing dish and use a fork to mix the tuna together for your salad. (Do NOT Drain!)
  • Add in mayo, minced onion, salt and pepper to taste and combine evenly.
  • When cauliflower steaks are finished, remove from oven and top each with your Cajun tuna salad mixture, evenly.
  • Top with cheese between both steaks and return to oven for an additional 5-10 minutes or until cheese is bubbling and melted.
  • Use a sturdy spatula to gently remove your cauliflower steak from baking sheet. Let steaks cool and top with fresh snipped chives. Then enjoy!
