Spicy Tuna Cakes and Cauliflower Grits


  • 1 Can Safe Catch Seasoned Elite Cajun Tuna
  • 1 Egg
  • ¼ Cup Almond Flour
  • 1 Head Cauliflower
  • ¼ Cup Plain Almond Milk
  • 1 Tbsp Ghee or Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • Avocado Oil or cooking oil of choice
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Tools you'll need

  • Medium & Small Mixing Bowl
  • Chef’s Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Frying Pan
  • Spatula
  • Measuring Spoons & Cups


  1. Open can of Safe Catch Cajun Tuna (Do not drain), flake with a fork until all liquid is absorbed by the tuna, then empty into a medium mixing bowl
  2. Add egg and almond flour to bowl and gently stir until all ingredients are combined
  3. Scoop tuna cake mixture into four patties and cook in an oiled pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side or until lightly browned
  4. Knife Work: Rinse cauliflower head and remove the florets from the stalk, chop the upper portion of the stalk in ¼ inch cubes and discard the lower portion
  5. Place cauliflower into a microwave safe bowl, add 2 Tbsp of water, cover with plastic wrap and cook on higher until tender, 4-5 mins
  6. Carefully uncover, being conscious of steam, place cauliflower, almond milk, ghee, garlic powder, salt & pepper in a food processor and blend until grits texture is achieved.
